Clarissa TrogdonYear In School 2nd
Year Major Criminal
Justice, concentration in Chemical Forensic Science Hometown San
Marcos, California Hobbies
/ Activities Student
Judicial Board member, Spartan Squad, hanging out with my close friends, and
watching movies and my favorite TV shows: Bones and CSI. Why
Did You Attend SJSU? SJSU
was the only California school which offered a bachelor’s degree in Forensic
Science, which is what I wanted to major in… so here I am. What
Is Your Favorite Class At SJSU? My
favorite class would definitely be my MUSE class about the “real CSI”. It gave me a general understanding about
what CSI is all about and the fun part was that we had mock crime scenes which
we analyzed, bagged evidence, and wrote lab reports like we were real CSI. It was very cool. Who
Is Your Favorite Professor At SJSU? Dr.
Steven Lee, my CSI professor, is one of my favorites. Also, Professor Singmaster is the best
Chemistry professor on campus.
They’re both really passionate about what they teach, which makes
learning more fun and interesting. What
Are The Highlights of Your SJSU Experience? Football
games, dorm life, and meeting amazing new people are some of the highlights, but
laughing my way through late night study sessions with my new best friend was
the best part of my freshman year. Who
Is Your Hero, Idol or Mentor? My
parents are definitely my heroes. I
have a great support system at home and that motivates me to make them
proud. Plus, they are paying my way
through college which makes them amazing.
I owe them big time for all of their help and
support. What
Are Your Plans For The Future? Once
I graduate, I plan on becoming an evidence analyst for a crime lab closer to
home… maybe San Diego or Orange County.
