Why Did You Attend SJSU?

I began my college experience at UCLA.  I spent my entire freshman year there, then realized it was not the school for me.  I started looking at other colleges and was drawn to San Jose State University.  They have an excellent College of Journalism and College of Business.  As a Northern California native, I wanted to go to school in that part of the state.  I was particularly drawn to the bay area because of all the internship and job opportunities.

What Is Your Favorite Class At SJSU?

My favorite class at SJSU so far has been Contemporary Public Relations.  This class is an introduction to Public Relations and made me choose to major in PR.

Who Is Your Favorite Professor At SJSU?

My favorite professor is Dennis Wilcox for Contemporary Public Relations.  He knows the subject so well and has written several books, including the one we use in class.  He makes the class entertaining by including stories about his travels and current events into his lectures.

What Are The Highlights of Your SJSU Experience?

The highlight of my SJSU experience has been getting to know new and interesting people.

Who Is Your Hero, Idol or Mentor?

My heroes are my parents.  They did an excellent job raising me and have helped me become the person I am today.  Also, they are incredibly hard working and ambitious.

What Are Your Plans For The Future?

After college, I plan to get a job with a public relations firm, and eventually work for a private corporation.  I am interested in working in Investor Relations, which is a branch of public relations.  I want to have a family at some point, but before that, I want to see different parts of the world!
